No Business Like E Business The Spectacularly Simple Secrets Behind How You Can Create A Web Site And Make Money With It

No Business Like E Business The Spectacularly Simple Secrets Behind How You Can Create A Web Site And Make Money With It

Here are the questions you need to answer, to be able to create a web site and make money from it:

1. What to sell (products, services, advertisements or a brand)?

2. How to sell (web design, copy writing, technology, getting paid online)?

3. How to get visitors to your web site (generating traffic: free and paid)?

4. How to get them to buy your stuff (conversion: creating something remarkable, pre-selling, branding, trust building, give-aways)?

5. How to keep them and their friends coming back for more (upselling, cross-selling, affiliate program, joint ventures, self-sustaining lead generation)?

Master these 5 areas, one item at a time, and you are golden.

But the real secrets lie in knowing not just what to do, but more importantly, how to do it.

The web is full of information, but the problem is, the web is full of information! No, that was not a misprint - half of what is in this book is probably out there somewhere on the web, distributed among millions of pages. The problem is that the good information is hiding out there along with the bad information, and there is no easy way to find it.

All of that information is of absolutely no use unless someone collects it, reviews it, filters it and validates it. Yes, that last part - validating it - is the most important one. It is so easy to publish your thoughts online, that it has become almost impossible to cut through the clutter and get to the good stuff.

For instance, if you did a Yahoo! or Google search on “Yahoo SEO” or “Google SEO”, you will get millions of web pages that supposedly have information about optimizing your web site for Yahoo! or Google. That information is buried within thousands of blog posts, forum postings, newsletters, reports, and niche sites.

If it is all sitting out there for free, then why is it that there people pay Yahoo a one time fee $299, and an ongoing yearly fee of $299 (forever) to get their web site listed in Yahoo’s index (on top of that, if you stop paying them, and they will remove your site from their database)? And then there are others who pay hundreds, if not thousands, to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) companies or to buy high-priced commercial tools, in order to get top rankings on Google.

Are these people crazy to pay so much money to others to get their sites ranked on these search engines, when all of that information is available for free? Or are they just too lazy to do it themselves?

The truth is they are neither crazy, nor lazy. The problem is one of validation.

There is no practical way of finding out whether all that information available for free is any good at all, unless someone puts them all together in context, in a meaningful, consumable way - someone who can be trusted as a source, someone who is an authority on the subject, and someone who has done it all themselves - someone like yours truly.

In this book, you will learn spectacularly simple and completely free ways to get a spanking new web site (with absolutely no PageRank, no incoming links, no visitors) not just listed on Yahoo! and Google within days, but also get a top ranking on both these search engines (along with the rest) without spending a single dime on SEO, without exchanging a single link, without building a single list, without sending out a single email, without buying a single piece of software that promises “top rankings”.

In fact, you will learn how to use the very same techniques to get not one, not two, but three top Google listings for the same web site, without using even one black-hat or gray-hat technique.

Just the two chapters on Traffic Generation and Link Popularity alone will be worth 10 times the price of this book. But I’ll let you be the judge.

4 Stars A Great Starting Point
As the title of my review states, “No Business Like E-Business” is a great starting point for the would be internet entrepreneur. Where NBLEB is not a step-by-step e-business start-up guide, it will give you a good overview of creating a successful website. I really enjoyed the authors straight forward language. If you are thinking of starting an e-business, bring your ideas, and read this book. It will definitely help focus your online business plan, and help planning your future web presence. Thanks Ravi!

5 Stars Not What I Was Looking For…
When I found this book, I was actually looking for books strictly about building websites and wordpress blogs. This one caught my eye and I had to research a little before I decided to buy it. I checked out the author’s website and liked what I saw.

I have to say that the book gives a good overview of doing business on the internet. It also includes some finer details to consider when designing and building your website, that many people wouldn’t think of.

As one other reviewer stated, I am sure that much of the information from the book can be found elsewhere. However, it is extremely helpful to have one book that you can keep next to your computer and refer back to on a number of topics. Obviously, it is not the last book you will ever need, but it definately a good one to start with, and I do not regret this purchase!

3 Stars Not without serious flaws
I found this book very frustrating, and am torn in my review. On the one hand, there is a great deal of valuable e-business material in this book. On the other hand, the organization is poor and the editing is abysmal. The overall concept seems to be a stream of consciousness dissemination of the authors experiences. This leads to repetition of material in the book, and makes it harder to return to a concept or technique. My most scathing criticism I reserve for the books editor. I would say they are a thief for taking any compensation for editing this book. I am aware that the overall quality of editing has declined drastically, but this is still no excuse for the sloppiness of this book. It is difficult to go more than a page or two without an editing error. The book has particular problems with articles, tense, spelling, and sentence structure. The author is also fond of weasel words, which dilute the strength of a sentence, and tends to the verbose by introducing words that are simply not needed to convey a point. The author is fond of multiple concepts in a sentence, which makes adequate treatment difficult, and can extend sentences to multi-line monsters. The author’s meaning is occasionally indecipherable.

This having been said, the strength of the detail, however unorganized and poorly presented, carries this book. You can learn a lot from it, but you will work for the knowledge.

4 Stars Plenty of tasty nuggets for your enjoyment
I own an online cookie gift business, a part of a trading education business and work with other web properties that I have built. I was looking for a collection of insider tips and tricks for SEO, site optimization, list building etc. Ravi’s book is packed with nuggets that will help anyone currently managing a web business, or looking to start one, to make it better. While much of this information can be found scattered across the web, I find it helpful to get a compilation in one place from someone that has worked with the technology, explains the pros and cons, and makes recommendations. While it is not a complete in-depth study on all the topics, there is more than enough meat to make it worth the time to read. I’d recommend you keep a notebook handy to capture tips along the way.

If you are a total newbie looking for a step by step, hold-your-hand guide that will make you an instant Internet millionaire, this is not your book (I’m not sure what will fill that need).

A couple of the chapters are a little light on content and seemed to lack closure on the topic, hence my reduction of a star. Otherwise, his writing style is casual, very conversational and easy to follow - I like that. I rate a business book based on whether or not it provided more value than the price and my time invested - this one delivered that many times over for me.

A number of the books in this area are little more than clever infomercials for the writer. No doubt Ravi has products to sell, but this book is not simply an intro to up sell you more of his services. He shares real insight and information in a straightforward and simple manner that, if implemented, will benefit your e-business and the bottom line. That’s worth a read.

5 Stars This is a must-read, first-read title for aspiring e-entrepreneurs
If you are even thinking about starting an online business, then Ravi Jayagopal’s book “No Business Like Business,” is not only a must-read, but the first title you should read (unless you don’t know the basics of how to build a website at all, then you probably want a beginner’s HTML book).

Don’t waste your time with the websites and spam promising easy internet riches; they won’t give you all the information Ravi does, but they’ll sure take a lot more of your money. Those sites can’t even string together a sentence in a readable fashion, but even though Ravi is a professional techie, his command of effective writing is superb.

While the book is geared to newbies, it contains enough nuts-and-bolts information and links to resources to get you started. Ravi recommends sources for content, explains affiliate marketing, Google AdSense, list marketing, and so much more. He even recommends what software you will need to run your business.

Ravi Jayagopal will save you a lot of time, money, and frustration if you just take the time to sit down and read “No Business Like E-Business” BEFORE you dive headlong into your first e-commerce site.

Credit Repair Rip Off How To Avoid The Scams And Do It Yourself

Many people in financial distress have been lured by advertisements implying that bad credit can be magically erased, only to end up deeper in debt than ever. This expose is Bob Hammond’s attempt to put an end to that by revealing the truth about the credit repair scams and empowering consumers to help themselves.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Poor and outdated advise.
First off this book was published in 1994. The laws and regulations have completely changed over the years. Plus after reading, what you dont realize is that most states have different laws as well. I tried to do it on my own and while I was able to get a few things off, they popped right back on a few months later. After looking into many “rip-off” credit repair agencies, I found RMCN Credit Services, Inc. Not only were the legitimate and Registered with the state, but they got 70-90% of my bad credit deleted permanently. Now I live with great credit again and I owe it all to Nikki Harris and RMCN. I would suggest that anyone interested in buying this book, to give them a call instead.

4 Stars Perhaps one of the best books written on the subject
A lot of the “Repair Your Own Credit” books out there are not very helpful. Some of them tell you nothing you didn’t already know… Not this one! This is one of the more useful Credit Advice books available on the market. It gives the background of several fraudulant “Credit Repair” firms, info on how to spot a scam, inside look on how the credit bureaus work, and things you can do to correct and “polish” your credit. I would recommend this book to anyone before paying a credit repair/credit counseling company.
